Game installs and boots, but get black screen when trying to join a session
Game installs and boots, but get black screen when I create or join a session. Tried GE's Proton, different proton versions, changed resolution, switched to windowed, disabled steam overlay. Judging from reddit, this appears to also be a bug in Windows and Android (both native).
This game takes a significant time to boot up initially, and gives no loading indicator. This happens on Windows as well, though. It's just a massive game. Load times between zones are also massive, but this is also the same in Windows and PS.
Worked out of the box. Also detected X-56 HOTAS also without issue. Didn't even have to turn to GE. Used Proton 8.0-4.
Even with the jpgay workaround, you still need to go to YT or something to watch the cutscene, which is vital for understanding the story.
jpgay's Proton did not work the first time I tried. Tried again (20 minutes of fighting...) and, after making the decision, mashed "skip" over and over. It succeeded and I was able to save and move on.

Previous review was with a different custom Proton build. GloriousEggroll's 6.8-1 makes the game work perfect now.
