Config menu on initial launch gives a perpetual error that had to be killed Stop funtion on Steam. Successive runs worked fine.

Character builder demo runs out of the box perfectly on my rig using Bazzite.
This will be updated once game releases to verify if it continues to be flawless on Bazzite's nvidia KDE stable build or if issues arise. Dev announcing removal of Denuvo should help improve compatability for others soon hopefully.
