Mostly runs as-is still. First run/using config causes error but hardware/monitor detects fine & successive runs are stable.
Config menu on initial launch gives a perpetual error that had to be killed Stop funtion on Steam. Successive runs worked fine.

To play the DirectX 11 in full screen you must use the setup DirectX utility at launch. The default is windowed, but you can set DirectX 11 to play full screen, and increase the default resolution to something like 1280 or 1920.
The DirectX setup utility is a bit wonky (just like on a PC) and will often crash after setting a new resolution. 2 of 3 times it successfully does set the resolution (if not just try again).
Once set, just launch the DirectX 11 version of Pinball Arcade. The other version of Pinball Arcade also works but is uses DirectX 9 and isn't as detailed with shading, shadows, etc.
- DX11 is not Fullscreen by default. To fix: run Configuration Utility → Display (DX11) → Window Mode → Fullscreen.
- DX11 renders in 16:9 letterbox by default. To fix: run Configuration Utility → Display (DX11) → Back Buffer Width/Height → 1280/800 or 1920/1200.
DX9, DX11 and Configation Utility work just as on Windows with all their quirks. Configuration Utility crashes after close on first run or two, but it's the same story on Windows too, so no need to worry.

Game runs flawless in DX9. DX11 was untested. Requires workaround for initial graphical menu, but otherwise perfect.
You can get rid of the launch window by using Touchscreen Mouse Emulation. The game then crashes, but can be booted normally with regular controls.
Works perfectly in DX9 and DX11.
Still has the bug for the configuration menu where it will crash when you click OK, but it still will accept it and the game works with no issues.
Works perfectly now, even in DX11 mode. The Settings also work.
Game installs but can't change graphic settings (except HEXediting a settings file)
Can't change settings. Manually HEXediting stuff isn't exactly worth it for a pinball game

Default settings running fine, only DX11 option causing problems
Selecting DX11 when launching causes slowness while playing
Key mapping is messed up, you have to experiment to find which keys do what, and you can't remap them because in the configs everything shows as NULL. Eventually, you find enough keys working to play, though.
I didn't try using a controller, that might be better than using a keyboard.

The config-tool works now, even when crashing at finishing configuration! The game is fully playable in DX11, windowed-mode. Great performance, no issues during gameplay. At long last, we have a descent pinball sim on Linux now!

The config utility now works, despite spitting out an error at the end. All the options seem to do what they should. Keyboard mapping is weird, mapping any key shows it as "(NULL)" in the interface but the key still works in the game. Tested both DX9 and DX11 at maximum quality, worked fine.
DX11 had issues in full-screen: Only a small rectangular area of the game actually displayed. Works in windowed mode.

Direct X 11 now works. Configuration tool doesn't but isn't required for it to work. However ghostbusters pinball table still fails.

Seems to vary on a table by table basis.
DX11 Doesn't work at all as other reports state, config tool also doesn't work but modifying the config works.
Addams Family, Doctor Who, Doctor Who Masters of Time and Frankenstien works. Ghostbusters does not.

All is okay. DX11 doesn't work. Config tool not work but it's possible to copy/paste settings from Windows computer and 1920x1080 works well. Sound OK (i can decrease sound of table with Steam Play, not possible with Steam Windows on Linux with Wine)

Runs in regular DX9 mode. DX11 mode crashes. Configuration utility doesn't work so can't change resolution that way. Sound seems to work fine for me.

Requires manual configuration file editing to change resolutions, DX11 modes and configuration utility do not run. No sound.

DX11 Modes don't work. Configuration tool doesn't work. DX9 version works but requires potential tweaking to set resolution.

DX11 version does not launch. Couldn't open the configuration utility, so I couldn't change the resolution.
WORKARROUND: 1. Open ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/238260/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/My Games/Pinball Arcade/ 2. Open settings.dat in a hex editor 3. Set the width and height. Both the width and the height are (singed?) 32-bit integers in little-endian byte order. Width starts at offset 0x0C, and height starts immediately after it (at offset 0x10).

Game configuration utility will not launch, so resolution and graphics options cannot be changed. Since the game defaults to a tiny window, it is arguably unplayable in its current state, but performance is fine. DX11 version of the game will not launch.

The configuration utility doesn't launch so you can't change the resolution :(
