Played over 11 hours with no issues, other than some crackling BGM
its a visual novel - default text in the box is small, but readable
when I initally started the game, it blew up with an exception. When I restarted it, it loaded fine
keyboard is used in the game, but steam deck keyboard doesn't want to interact with those items
you do have to use the Steam keyboard to name your Shepard, but other than that, the game runs like a dream.
Don't know why Steam is listing this as unsupported. There is an EA window at launch, but it normally stays hidden.
inital startup requires gamepad configuration, which can be offputting if you're used to a controller. However, once started, plays well
the background/intro text that displasy when choosing to view a Muv-Luv or a Muv-Luv Alternative story is outlined in red. This is hard to read on the Steam Deck, but can be done. The actual VN text is very readable
the text is a bit dense for my eyes. Thank God the Steam Deck has a larger window that other alternative like the iPhone!
Runs very well on Steam Deck out of the box. I've only got 2 1/2 hours in on this device, but it's very solid performance, with no bugs noted.
Just remember it's not designed to work with controllers. Once I got past that initial frustration, I enjoyed the game
There's a variety of fonts used. Some are very readable, while others are problematic. Also, the commands at the bottom of each screen (Q Save, Q Load, etc) are very hard to make out due to the font colors.
controller is not supported direcetly, you have to switch to the mouse layout. At first the system didn't seem to detect mouse clicks. After resetting the layout, it worked fine
