For a new game copy a save as mentioned in other reports
Disable Origin's in-game overlay and add -skipvideos to the game's launch options in Origin. You can launch Origin with proton in the steam wineprefix to change the settings.
I used to have to disable the webcam and disable Steam in-game, but now it works fine with those enabled.
This game has no right to be always online.
Any proton version above 3.16 would not launch the game, unable to load hw.dll. It isn't an enjoyable experience due to frequent crashes.
Crashes loading some levels.
I installed the Brutal Half-Life mod, but it always crashed when loading specific areas, making it unplayable.
Bad native build, works perfectly in Proton.
In the native version fullscreen does not work and resolution and UI scaling is totally broken, making the game unplayable (at least on my setup). Proton runs the game with no issues.
