Steam Deck runs this out of box perfectly
I don't see the need to change any graphical settings to get better battery performance.

Works perfectly on Steam Deck. This game is so light weight that there isn't a need to adjust graphic settings either. From memory, I dont think there are any graphic settings anyway.

It felt more comfortable for me to use left button for Right D-Pad and use right button for "X" or "B". Honestly, just comes down to preference since this game literally only uses 2 buttons except for in the Main Menu.
Controls might feel more comfortable for long sessions if you change the left attack and right attack to D-Pad and Button Pad respectively. Personal preference honestly. Also, there's no need to adjust graphics settings at all since this game is extremely light weight.
No issues on Steam Deck. Use Medium-Low graphic settings for much more steady 50-60fps
This game doesn't enjoy switching between gamepad and keyboard controls. For example, if you are moving with the gamepad joystick and jump or look with mouse/keyboard, your character stops moving. So, you should use either (mostly) a keyboard layout or gamepad layout.
Game doesn't like using keyboard/gamepad combination. Use mostly one or the other.
High graphics settings lowers fps. Use Medium-Low settings to keep steady 60fps with occasional 40fps drops in graphic hungry areas.
Game runs perfectly outside of some minor control issues and having to use lower graphics settings. I don't recall a single glitch or bug the entire time. I've put over 40 hours into it.

Zero issues on Steam Deck. Simply install and run the game. Because the game is so light weight, I don't recommend modifying graphics settings, even to get better battery life. Up to you, though
