It worked flawlessly out of the box for me using Proton 6.3-6
The make-a-GIF feature didn't work the one time I tried it. It's possible I fat-fingered something though. Otherwise, the game runs perfectly.

It worked fine for me out of the box.
It worked perfectly for me when I tried it.
The only wierdness is that my video card's fan was running pretty loudly the whole time, far more than you'd expect with these graphics. Given that others have reported performance issues and I have a reasonably fast GPU, it's possible that there's a performance bug somewhere that will cause problems with slower video cards.
