Only requires the wined3d launch argument which is simple enough to add and the game works just fine after that.
Game doesn't launch out of the box but works fine after adding the following string in the launch options: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Keeping in mind my hardware is extremely weak and most people will have much better specs, the game is very playable.
Use the wineD3D launch option: PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
a lot of audio crackling when first launching the game and during intense sequences during gameplay.
the game chugs a lot even at low resolutions. There is just too much performance lost with proton but it is the only way the game would even launch for me.
it is way too finicky for a newcomer to pick up this game and just play even after tinkering.
Had to use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 DXVK_FRAME_RATE=60 %command%
in the launch options
the audio just would not work at all.
random black lines on certain textures and green-ish artifacts all over the sky.
the mouse controls were completely borked and it was randomly registering keyboard keys that i hadn't pressed (not a hardware issue)
the game can barely push any frames even on the lowest resolution and graphical settings.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 gamemoderun %command%
the mouse cursor sometimes disappears after alt-tabbing so have to restart the game
This is wayyy better than my previous experiences with this game on linux. Previously had to use proton 5.0-10 to even launch the game. Now works out of the box with proton experimental with much faster loading times and slightly better fps. NOTE: Some folks may not have to add PROTON_USE_WINED3D. I do add it because most games don't work for me without it
