When first installed it would either launch, play half a second of music, then crash (Proton 5+) or launch and play music but show a black screen (Proton 3 and 4). After installing the fan patch by Alyxx (https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=159519491) it ran with Proton 3.7-8, though not full screen.
I had to drop to 'Simple' graphics quality to get a smooth framerate, but since this is a board game that is no issue at all.
As noted by another Gentoo user, app-crypt/p11-kit needs to have the abi_x86_32 USE flag enabled. Also note the game did NOT run with Proton 5.0-5 (black screen with an immovable cursor). 4.11-13 is the most recent version available that worked for me.
Am getting ~15 FPS
Installed Steam from steam-overlay and could install the game, but it would not launch until I :
- Compiled a 32 bit binary of mesa (added the abi_x86_32 USE flag and recompiled the package)
- Compiled mesa with support for Vulkan as per the howto (https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Vulkan)
Clearly the Steam package from steam-overlay does not bundle a mesa library in the runtime and instead depends on that supplied by Gentoo.
No music, but the sound effects worked fine.
