Tinker Steps:Custom Proton: Proton GE 6.3.8, Set launch options
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
Tried loads of different versions of Proton - 6.3.8 was most stable but had to include the PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% launch option. Previous attempts resulted in a black screen, mouse and audio playing but nothing else. Steam Support had nothing to add saying it wasn't whitelisted. This solution works for me.

On 6.3.8 it would crash unexpectedly - now just works. Still slow loading into battles but it does this on Windows 10.

Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War
Game installed fine and opened to menu. Very laggy mouse. Opened game and it just hangs.

Tried a couple of tweaks including NO_ESYNC, gamemoderun and WINED3D - no joy I'm afraid. Feel like it needs a tweak but I'm missing something here.
