Runs great
Perfect performance on Linux. The only issue is that it hangs when exiting using the game menu. You just have to force close it from steam.
Almost unplayable by default. Excellent performance after changing one line in a config file.
Updated the line iPresentInterval=1 to iPresentInterval=0 in Fallout76Prefs.ini found in ~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/1151340/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/Documents/My Games/Fallout 76
Horrible input latency and mouse skipping with the default configuration. Almost feels like severe server lag, but it's not. Fixed after updating the line iPresentInterval=0 in Fallout76Prefs.ini. After this, it runs as well as if not better than on Windows.
Game does not quit to desktop properly, can cause the entire computer to hang. Quit from steam instead.
Played it a bunch on my steamdeck. No issues.
Heavy stuttering in most outdoor areas when using Nvidia graphics.
I can't find a way to make this run smoothly on Nvidia. It's fine on AMD.
Runs great on nvidia with 565 drivers
It's a very CPU intensive game, upgrading my CPU solved my stuttering issues
You're probably going to want to mod this game. It takes a few extra steps compared to Windows but it's not too bad. I recommend starting with modorganizer2-linux-installer by rockerbacon on github. https://github.com/rockerbacon/modorganizer2-linux-installer
Performance is pretty good on the steamdeck even with a couple dozen graphical improvement mods. Don't be expecting 60fps but it's not a slideshow either.
