Mouse is mostly OK, but the camera positioning lags behind, overshoots and is in general terrible. I can 'baby' it along by only turning slowly, but that's not possible in a fraught combat situation. This only got worse when running the game client as also a server and someone else joined.
This is with a Logitech G600, using ratbagctl
to set up rate, dpi, LED color, button bindings.
I tried capping FPS to 60, it might have made things a little better, but barely.
I tried reducing my mouse report rate (Hz) from 1000 to 200, but it made no difference.
Works perfectly fine in Windows 11 Pro.
FPS seems OK, but a mouse problem makes it feel jittery
Black screen after splash screens
This game works fine on the same hardware on Windows 11 Pro, but on this Linux setup it goes past the initial static image, then the splash screen/videos (i.e. "EA Originals"), and then only shows a black screen. Waited for over 2 minutes past when the screen went black.

shows the ZAU.exe using ~200% CPU.
So it at least doesn't work "out of the box" (I did try without forcing Proton Experimental first as well), I'll see if any tweaks address this. This same setup runs at least Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor without any issues.
Mouse input lag... until I used ratbagctl to change report rate to 500 and then (back) to 200. Starting on 200 didn't help, always the switch that cured it.
Severe lag for a few minutes on startup, presumably shader compilation. Not on every run, but after every reboot, which seems bizarre.
This is not the only game to experience input lag on my system, so it might not be to blame. At least there's the workaround.
