Performance not as good as GE, but runs
As of Patch 4, GE and many other Proton Versions seem to fail to load to main menu. Experimental is the only one that seems to work for me at present.
New Hotfix #11 broke the game for me.
Does not work with Proton Experimental, 8.0.4, or GE-Proton8-23. GE-Proton makes it to the loading screen but then crashes. The others don't launch.

Mouse flickers
Game progressively slows after a few minutes of the match. From 60+ to < 10.
The framerate slowdown impacts ability to scroll and select UI elements, making my turn difficult to operate.
I have read that Steam Deck does not seem to experience this slowdown issue. I've tried booting the game with the OpenGL symlink, 4 different proton versions, and running the game on minimum settings, all to no improvement. I've read that this game has a known CPU bottlenecking issue, but I have a pretty decent Intel Processor, so I'm not sure how that could be true.
Will update my report if I figure this issue out.
On Nobara Linux, this game runs flawlessly. No issues in multiplayer.
Dozens of hours in multiplayer with windows users. I experienced no issues and did not load in slower than they did. I experienced 1 crash in approximately 20 hours of testing, but so did they, so I have no reason to expect it was related to running it under proton.
Big thanks to Glorious Eggroll for Nobara Linux and Valve for Proton! This is one of my favorite games and I get to experience it with zero inconveniences.
Perfect out of the box.
Playing on a dual-shock controller with no issues whatsoever.
Multiplayer only works in Proton version. Native unsupported.
Avoid the Native version and you should be good to go. Maybe in the future it will be good, but for now the Native experience is inferior to Proton.
Small performance issues, but otherwise in good shape.
Probably pulse audio related. But it's not bad.
Some minor stuttering. Doesn't seem to change with graphical settings from low through high.
Must disable anti-aliasing on my system or the graphics look very distorted and pixelated.
Using native client with Windows players and no issues.
I haven't tested the Proton version of this game as Native runs beautifully. But be aware that you may need to turn off Anti-Aliasing if you encournter graphical distortion/pixelization.
