Perfect right out of the box.
Screen Refresh Rate set to 40Hz
Great experience right out of the box!
Locked framerate to 45fps on OLED.
Works well out of the box. Multiplayer tends t erform better thn campaign, but both are very playable on the Steam Deck OLED.
Cryobyte's Optmization tools, 4Gb VRAM and Linux Huge Pages
Frame Rate Limit = 30, TDP Limit rto 12 Watts
The game runs well enough after the latest patch without tinkering, at low settings and 30fps. I did use the following to get more performance while saving some battery at slightly higher graphical settings:
- Used Cryobyte's performance tools to change the size of the the swap file to 16Gb and Swappiness to 1
- Changed minimum VRAM in the BIOS to 4Gb
- Used System Toolbox plugin from Decky Loader to enable Linux Huge Pages
- Locked framerate to 30fps
- Locket TDP limit to 10~12 Watts
- Game seetings at Medium with FSR2 enabled for Quality (you can try higher graphical settings with FSR on balanced or performance, but anything below Quality becomes too blurry to even benefit of higher graphical settings)
Ran CryoByte33's performance scripts on my Steam Deck, and increased VRAM to 4GB in the BIOS
Locked frame rate to 30FPS
Some minor artifacts on chracter creation. Specially around the hair.
Some stutter when at the Abbey. Works great for everything else at locked 30FPS.
Highly recommend:
- Increase Steam Deck VRAM on BIOS to 4GB
- Runs Cryobyte's performance scripts
As for in-game settings:
- Lock the game to 30FPS
- Use FidelityFX under Resolution Scaling if you can, at Balanced
- Textures at EPIC
- World Detail, Draw Distance, Effects, Post Processing, and Screen Space Reflection, Number of Shadows at HIGH
- Foliage, Shadows, Volumetric Fog at MEDIUM
- Depth of Field and Motion Blur set to OFF
- Anti-Aliasing at Fast TXAA
The works works well enough without doing much, but has some bad stutters during big fights.
DXVK_ASYNC=1
Refresh Rate locked to 40Hz
Text is a bit small
Had the game initially stutter quite bad. Resolved with a bit of work.
Occasional Crashes on DX12, Switch to DX 11 to stop.
The game performs best, locked 40FPS and no stutters with the following tinkering:
- Use Proton-GE (latest)
- Use DXVK_ASYNC=1 on Luanch Options
- Change VRAM in BIOS to 4GB
- Used CryoByte's steam deck utilities script to increase Swap File to 16Gb, and decrease Swappiness to 1
In-Game Settings:
- Turn Off "Lock FPS to 30" option
- Turn OFF VSYNC
- Resolution Scale set to 80
- Textture detail set to HIGH
- Shadow Quality set to MEDIUM
- Anti Aliasing set to HIGH
- Post Process Quality set to MEDIUM
- View Distance set to MEDIUM
- Effects Quality set to MEDIUM
- DirectX seto to DX11
- Motion Blur and Fil Grain set to OFF
- Physics Objects set to ON
