Game simply does not present any UI when launched natively or using Proton-GE 9.11
Game worked fine until today. Devs decided to no longer support Linux.
Does no longer work on Linux
Make sure to check "Enable dgvoodoo2" to make the game work after tabbing out or opening the esc menu. Without this option, the game's graphics will break after doing one of those things.
In Multiplayer, the game will time out randomly. This is not a linux bug, but was always part of the experience :D
As I am still owning the original version "Patrician 2 Gold", I am running the game through Lutris.
Before starting the game for the first time, you will need to run "P2Setup.exe". Just register it as a new game using a wine runner and start it once - done.
By using gamescope the mouse can be forced to remain on within bounds of the game window
gamescope -W 2560 -H 1440 -f -o 30 -r 144 --force-grab-cursor -- %command%
When in a game, the mouse leaves the game window which results in the game loosing focus when you are trying to fire (click)
