Everything works well with Proton 8, decent FPS even on Epic settings. Only issues I've encountered don't affect gameplay at all.
Significant Bugs:Yes
When returning to main menu, game crashes. This may affect Cloud Saves, but I'm unsure.

Mini Motorways itself has a few bugs, but they're present on Windows native install as well, so Proton is "bug compatible."
