If a mission lasts a long time (I estimate >30 minutes) the framerate will drop to 1 fps, the audio will crackle, then the game will crash.
Native linux version is inferior to the windows version. Patches arrive months late, mutiplayer crossplay with windows is not supported and many mods are not compatible. Just run it with proton instead. Of course it will install native by default, so you'll have another huge download when you choose proton compatibility. Naturally steam doesn't warn the player about this on the store page or anywhere else, players have to find out the hard way.

I played last month, but now the game wont start after the most recent linux mint kernel update. Proton experimental. Verified game cache. Updated graphics drivers. Steam says the game is running but the window never appears.

Some mods on the steam workshop that work fine on windows will crash the game when playing on proton. Even if the mod is up to date, there is no way to tell which mods are compatible with proton. The ones I tested that crash only on proton were Tomb Kings Extended, OvN Araby, and Cataph's TEB.
