Tinker Steps:Custom Proton: GE-Proton8-11, Set launch options
--skip-launcher --vulkan
It seems important to run it from the get-go using latest GE Proton version. Doing it any other way gets your Steam stuck in a "launching" state trying to install DirectX. With the provided launch options and running on GE from a fresh install works perfectly, albeit after a small wait (2 minutes approx.)

Crashes with a GL error on Proton 8.0, but setting Proton to 7.0-6 works perfectly. No more Lutris required to play MTGA!

Running Proton 8, whether Steam native or GE, launches the game process but the game never properly displays. Using GE 7-55 worked instantly.
