60 FPS lock, details from Ultra by default to High.
Theres no need to run this game on ULTRA. Just lower graphics to high, frame lock at 60 and youre already wayyy ahead of experience on nintendo switch port of this game.
Playing with steam deck native input is not for everyone. Even with Gyro. You must be special type of person to play like CS2 this.
If youre looking to be competitive on CS2 with steamdeck, you must be mad. If 60fps means playable, sure. Game is playable for a casual nostalgic round with bots.
Max Frame rate 40 (80hz)
By default upscaling is enabled, which makes text extra hard to read.
It feels like audio is little late and very poor quality. (default settings)
Game dips into 20 fps even on low settings. Related to map areas.
Graphical settings: Disable scaling, set every other option to low or off. Video settings: Fulscreen, Max Resolution, Max FPS 40. That is in my opinion best balance for graphics, framerate, fan noise and more than 2 hours on Steam deck OLED Battery.
My graphical settings: Everything to low, Texture: Medium, Fog: OFF, Anisotric Filtering 4, SSAO: OFF, Motion BLUR: OFF,
These are settings for endgame. You can play game on mid settings most of the way with pretty stable performance and I honestly recommend it, when youre new at game and play singleplayer so you can enjoy graphics, because nature ingame is stunning. But once you get to engame, attacking fortress on multiplayer and fighting 10+ ennemies, your framerate will take a hit on steam deck.
I do not see a reason why you would not enjoy this game on linux, feels as good as one on windows. Surley better than xbox one, tested.
40 fps (80hz) lock
Do not forget, you need to hold "STEAM" button to move your mouse around in Rockstar Social club.
Just about comparable with PC version.
I recommend settings low to mid, lock on 40fps. Graphics are still good on small steam deck display and you get reduced fan noise and better battery life. And it will be still better than xbox one experience.
