Non-proton issues - Login Server
I was able to install the game (including Punkbuster) with no issue. Got to the main menu and was able to click around and change settings. When I tried to load the actual game, I was asked to log in to EA and to provide the CD key (which is given in the single player config). Entering both resulted in a generic "Network failure".
There are guides that include installing and launching the single player game (which I was not able to do) and installing Origin, which I might try later.
Gorgeous little game that runs great in windowed mode
It seems like there were some font rendering glitches here and there that are distinct from the stylized font. These were vertical white lines (no more than 1-2 px wide and span a single line of text). I'm not positive but the letters around them might have been squished horizontally.
Game starts in fullscreen but nothing displays. Going to windowed mode with Alt-Enter worked just fine.
