Allow for load times of 10+ seconds at the beginning of each load of a new map per session.
Considerable texture loading times that cause stuttering when loading a map for the first time in a session.
Game plays similarly to native Windows wrt online multiplayer.
Issues have become far less frequent in recent months. Last couple sessions have had no issues aside from occasional texture loading ones
Occasional texture loading issues, resulting in pixellated or even blank textures
Occasional stuttering of <30fps despite running on recommended settings for RTX 3080 Ti
Occasional instances of the game hanging for a few moments.
Single instance of crash. Could not replicate.
Does not work on SparkyLinux 6 (Debian 10) with any Proton version.
May be related to the new Ryzen CPUs, but it works fine on Windows 10 on this computer. Proton 5.0 and later opens a black screen before crashing, 4.11 and earlier does not open at all, instead saying the SteamAPI is unavailable.
Alt-Tab when in fullscreen causes flickering and aspect ratio changes. This seems to improve the longer the game is open.
Severe screen tearing at resolutions above 1080p without refresh of KWin compositor animation preference. Refresh of preference (i.e. selecting another option and hitting apply, regardless of whether latency or smoothness is preferred) removes screen tearing, but large hospitals will see some stuttering if smoothness is preferred over latency.
Occasional lag in drawing room boundaries, applying floor types, or applying wall types can result in different boundaries than input.
Aside from graphical and input issues, game runs smoothly even with considerable modding through Steam workshop. These issues are fairly easily overcome.
Single player is the only mode that works currently, but it works as if native to Windows.
Host is able to initiate multiplayer session. All attempts to join session from another account time out.
Multiplayer does not work on any standard (i.e. newest, experimental, or legacy, NOT GE etc) proton version.
One crash upon rapid zoom in, but otherwise works fine on Proton Experimental as of 4/16/22
Game took two attempts to accept Proton Experimental as compatibility tool.
