Installed and started without issue or tweaking. FPS not playable though.
FPS pretty bad even at minimum settings. Campaign map nearly unplayable but RTS portion actually a bit better than the Campaign map.
About 2 minutes into the RTS portion of game play, game Crashed To Desktop.
Very surprised to encounter no issues installing or starting this using Proton Experimental. The FPS was shite but not surprisingly given that this is a pre-alpha and my hardware is not exactly bleeding edge.
Game itself looks pretty cool. They've taken the best of COH1 and COH2 and added in a campaign component. May be the best COH yet!

Install protontricks then use that to install uplay - good to go. Alt-Tab out doesn't work but, otherwise, I had no issues
You need to set the "Launch Options" but, other than sound being a little quiet, it works perfectly with that.
Audio is a little quiet - but not bad with the speakers up
As others have noted, add the following to launch options: PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_3=b" PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 taskset 0x000000FF gamemoderun %command%
