Runs great out of the box
I completed the first training mission without a hitch. Didn't try multiplayer, but lobby seemed fine.
Single player and with slightly reduced visuals, it runs fine out of the box. Multiplayer only without EAC
Frame drops on higher settings, might not be proton related
Froze once, taking the whole DE withit
Multiplayer is more difficult due to Easy-Anti-Cheat: Most servers kick you after 2 minutes. Still playable online with friends though! Just search for servers with "noEAC" or "Linux" in the name. Or your own dedicated server without EAC.
Installs and runs without problems, despite complex setup procedure (Uplay, account linking,...). I played in non-VR mode though!
On the first try Uplay was hanging on "looking for paths", but on second try everything worked without any changes.
Still doesn't work due to CEG issues
Cracking it, is not a "fix", so it's still borked! I tried the launch option "PROTON_USE_SECCOMP=1 %command%" as well as copying the "TheBureau.exe" from a wine steam installation, both without success. The CEG issue (and these possible fixes) were mentioned in this github issue: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/753
Seems to install and run flawless, at least the 15 or 20 minutes I tried it.
I have no clue, how to change the aspect ratio, or go to full screen, since there is no menu in that sense. Probably some settings in a launch file, or steam-config?
