Launched Uplay through stream installer just fine after restarting Steam.
The game ran very poorly compared to Windows 10. It was smooth in the loading screen but then extremely stuttery experience when in game and only managed around 20-30fps regardless of graphical settings used. Very uncomfortable to play.
The game launched and ran OOTB but even with reported high frame rates it was quite choppy. I fixed this by using GameScope.
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -- %command%
gamemoderun gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -- mangohud %command% --disable-gpu
The game apears to rapidly change GPU useage between 0-100%. This causes massive stutters during gameplay, even with high framerates. I fixed this by using GameScope:
_
gamemoderun gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -- mangohud %command% --disable-gpu
_
or
_
gamescope -w 1920 -h 1080 -f -- %command% --disable-gpu
It cannot launch without tinkering.
Version A13 will not launch normally.
-novid launch options did not fix this. Solved with renaming movie folder to something else:
"/steam/steamapps/common/Squad/SquadGame/Content/Movies"
Experienced a system hang once on map change one time but could not reproduce.
