EA kernel level anticheat does not allow to launch on linux
Bought the game when it was reported still working fine, decided to try it out for the first time and found out that it does not work on linux anymore. BF1 is out of the window also. The anticheat used to work on linux in the early BF2042 days. This indicates that it is intentional and I will not buy any old or new EA game in the future.
Really good experience. Now i have a reason to buy a better GPU.
Running on GTX1080 overclocked, the game runs anywhere from 30 to 70fps depending on the map on low settings. Low settings means visible pixels sometimes
The menu is broken (no ui only background) after trying to exit the store or some other menus. This is fixed with a restart. Otherwise it is the same bugs as on windows...
Runs great! At the moment you have to select the game exe from the binary folder on start for it to launch...
-dx11
crashes every few minutes, unplayable after updates
Great experience!
Game runs well, performance as good or better compared to win10. Added --disable-gpu to steam launch options and it works flawlessly so far.
Used Proton 6.21-GE-2
