At the beginning (in March) I just played the game, it works out of box with all the default settings. After some upgrades (maybe the game, maybe OS packages/nvidia drivers/kernels etc idk) later, the game just started up with a black screen, no main menu, no background sound at all. Tried many proton versions (8.0, 9.0, experimental, ge-custom), with no luck. Today I came to protondb here and tried every launch options to test if there's any luck, and finally found setting VK_ICD_FILENAMES
env works for me. The game now starts normally like before.
About graphics: I'm using an external HDMI monitor and nvidia wholly (xorg configuration is generated by nvidia-xconfig
).
