Players will first have to select either Asian or European servers before logging in a North American Server. Otherwise, it runs perfectly.
Need to first change servers before logging in North America. Otherwise, it never loads.
Only problem is lack of audio.
Audio in cinematics work as it should. There is no sound during game play.
While I did get it to run with Steam Tweaks and Steam Buddy under Arch Linux, sound seems to be the only major issue as of this version of Proton.
Audio can be fixed by right-clicking Fallout 4, selecting Properties and pluggin in "WINEDLLOVERRIDES="xaudio2_7=n,b" PULSE_LATENCY_MSEC=90 %command%" under LAUNCH OPTIONS.
Animations seem to skip frames each time you move your crosshairs, even under the lowest possible settings.
Steam Tweaks, Steam Buddy and SteamOS Compositor Plus should be more than enough for the game to run on Proton. They are packaged in the AUR for Arch Linux. If using a non-Arch distro, you have to install manually from Github.
I used Steam Buddy, Steam Tweaks and a modified version of SteamOS-Compositor-Plus on Arch Linux. The easiest way to set up is using the AUR with any wrapper like "yay" for "pacman" shown below. Typing "sudo" is not necessary.
[user@machine ~]$ yay -S steam-buddy steam-tweaks steamos-compositor-plus
I was not able to find a saved game file for "Dead Money" on a previous OS, so I have to start over. Otherwise, no issues.
It's a little too quiet even at full volume, but still audible.

./CLOUDGRID on Hacker Mode freezes after time is up.
