EAC is expectedly not supported. You are forced to play in singleplayer, entirely offline mode.
EAC WORKAROUND!!! Put "PROTON_DUMP_DEBUG_COMMANDS=1 %command%" in launch options, run it, go to ./temp/proton_username/, edit "run" to launch eldenring.exe. The game might not actually work but it wouldn't be because of Easy Anti Cheat.
Essentially the same as windows, except with some audio issues and no mods if using flatpak steam.
Some sound effects are very loud and some are very soft, inconsistent with my selected menu options. Music is always very loud unless it's turned off entirely, which drowns out these softer sounds, even with sound effects turned up to their maximum.
With Repentance, mods are entirely nonfunctional if you installed steam through flatpak. Use a native installation for steam if your distribution has one, otherwise give up on modding this game.
I have Repentance installed and made a report under its game ID, but because most people come here I made one here too.
Practically no difference from Windows if you don't use flatpak steam.
Inconsistent volume on sound effects and music given my menu options. Certain sound effects will be incredibly loud regardless of volume while others are incredibly soft. Most music, even at the lowest setting, will drown out these softer sound effects, even with sound at the highest setting.
If using steam flatpak, mods will NOT load under any circumstances. Switch to a native installation of steam if your distribution has one.
