It's just simple driving fun. It's just strange changing from a full-size monitor to a deck for this game for me.
Had to change control input as the steam input wasn't working automatically for me but it took very little customising.
Sometimes it can be hard to read the text in menus, specifically when choosing a job.
I'd reccomend ETS2 to literally anyone with a steam deck or a pc. It's not particularly demanding, although I wouldn't reccomend using the built-in convoy mode as I've faced many more issues with that on any device than on TruckersMP (although I'm unsure how compatible this is with Linux). The only real issue I had was that the control configuration wasn't correct from the get-go but it took about 5 minutes to fix that and then I was up and running.
Capped to 30fps as it used to run in that anyway.
I'd reccomend GTA 4 to anyone with a steam deck. It looks as good as it will, runs well, gets 4+ hours of game time on a single charge on an OLED, and the deck doesn't get too hot either. The only downside for some is that you have to sign in to the rockstar launcher, however I didn't face an issues with it.
it may be due to the newest steam os update but it's virtually unplayable at the moment. on the lowest settings, with frame generation.
capped to 60fps
forced into borderless window.
consistently dropped below 30fps except for in the initial menu.
i want to try it again as it seems like the perfect game to play in bed but as it is at the moment, it's unplayable.
It's a perfect handheld game and with the settings I use, you can get around 7 hours on one charge.
Capped to 30fps as it's barely noticeable.
Vampire Survivors is genuinely one of my most played games on deck. It's so easy to just launch it, quick start, run around the map. I've never had any frame drops, stability issues, etc. and it looks great even on the slightly reduced frame rate. It's also incredibly cheap so even if you're unsure whether to give it a go or not, it costs less than a coffee and Steam has a generous refund policy either way.
