FMV's weren't working without the Windows Media Player 11 component installed
While not required installing Maluc's Patch (I haven't tried Rick's but it should work) is not a bad idea. And making sure the Launch Command is used. Installing Windows Media Player 11 through protontricks should help if FMVs aren't working. Launch options aren't needed if not using one of the patches.
