The game performs great, with a few hickups:
Steam crashes if I play Far Cry, quit, and then try to play again later, but just restarting steam works fine.
The other issue is that I cannot steer any vehicle left or right while driving. Most of the time this is not a huge deal as there is an autodrive functionality, but there is one mission that requires driving which was a pain to complete. If I hold a or d while getting into a vehicle it will continuously steer left or right, enabling you to get the angle you need and then exit and reenter the vehicle to go straight forwards. Hugely annoying for the one mission so far where it was required, but the rest of the game works perfectly.
Mostly stable, with a few crashes here and there. I'd estimate 1 crash per 5-10 hours played on average, but it's pretty random.
Ambient sounds will occasionally keep playing after killing the game from terminal
Minor flickering when paused.
FMVs will not play at all; they just display a weird "test image" type thing for a few seconds, then the game carries on as if the cutscene is over. This is pretty annoying to be honest, but most cutscenes are real-time rendered anyway, so this only happens a handful of times throughout the game.
Proton Experimental is the only working proton version at time of writing.
