Heavy lag whilst not in fullscreen mode
Followed someone else's reccomendation and I can confirm ProtonGE 8-25 works well aside from minor issues with windowing.

You can still interact with the game, just nothing's displaying. Cursor works though. I had SOME success with gamescope but it was a pain to setup and didnt render at native and broke the cursor.
Works like a charm on non-Nvidia GPUs. Will have to wait until a new Nvidia drive comes out otherwise.
Runs like normal. No issues aside from fps is slightly lower than on Windows, but still above 60fps.
Can crash when trying to exit via Alt + F4. Force quit at the not responding prompt and you're good to go.
Only issues really are the previously mentioned ANR dialogue when trying to quit and an annoying sometimes-consistent popup window that tells me that I can now open VRChat links in a browser. Which of course I cannot do as I'm running in Proton. But these are nitpicks; game runs like a charm.
