Switch to Proton version 6.3-8 or any GE Proton version 7-29 or lower for the best experience. Was able to complete the tower without any crashes. Using Proton versions higher than these cause frequent crashing.

After setting the launch options and launching the game, there is some flickering with the splash screen, but the game runs fine after that point.
I couldn't get the Steam overlay to work.
