The experience is just how you would want it. Everything worked for me. From menus to gameplay.
I use Flick Stick
I set the fps limit to 60 via the in-game settings. Using the steam overlay it didn't work. I assume because the game was the native Linux version or some OpenGL bug.
It sometimes drops to 40-45 FPS from 60. I think it happens when enemies spawn.
Works great! Stable performance, no significant issues at all. 10/10. Battery life is about 3-4h
I use Flick Stick
I couldn't scroll down in some insignificant windows. Might've been because of Flick-Stick. Didn't bother me but wanted to note it here.
It just works!
It's a game that needs to be smooth in my opinion, and right now it's not.
Some models had default textures. Turning the "effects" option down resulted in VERY DARK lighting, too dark to play.
Game runs between 30 and 45 FPS after turning most options down to low and rendering at 540p with FSR. Limiting to 30 made the game feel choppy. 45 drew the whole 25W and wasn't that smooth neither. Playable but not smooth.
Playable but not enjoyable (yet).
It's still only hitting 30 - 40FPs, but the input lag can be disabled by setting the fps limiter from gamescope to unlimited and limiting the fps ingame + turning vsync off. Still not as good as 60fps but much better.
Not yet at 60fps, still fun
The 1.0 release notably improved performance. On 40hz it runs perfectly stable on mid settings 800p. Drawing about 16W. Definitely improved!
Performance definitely increased after the 1.0 update!
Worked right out of the gate, no settings had to be changed at all. Stable 60FPS. Draws between 12W and 15W usually. Multiplayer works too.
If you limit TDP and GPU performance, keep in mind that some maps need more performance than others, especially the ones from the "mods" section. Personally I eventually stopped limiting these.
Once I resumed the game from sleep and the music was very out of sync and didn't recover. Restarting the game fixed it. Only happened once;
It just works!
