It just werks. And that's a good sign.
The game works like it works on windows technically OOTB. There's no need to tinker around the game because as soon as you start it you'd be able to play with your friends and other people online. Tested it for like 1 to 2 hrs~ but everything ran just fine.

Although I'm using WINEDLLOVERRIDES because I'm using an FPS Unlocker mod (because the game is capped at 60). Any other than that, the game was played with a DualSense controller which steam recognized as soon as I plugged it in. 0 input lag in my side and I can actually say that the game performs better than it does on Windows. Give it a shot! :) <3
Whenever you want to start playing the game with any proton stock version it will boot up as it should boot, the thing is that whenever you want to start a new game the game just freezes. How does a new player notice this and think about this instead of just making a suppossition? You can't. So the thing that I did was alt - tabbing all the time until I saw the main circle of the loading screen kinda trying to do its job (spin). If you face this issue just close the game and choose ProtonGE and the version that I've chosen. I don't know if it will work with any other GE version but it's the one that actually lets you play the game. Beware though there are users who have reported that it runs under stock Proton versions. This is kind of a roulette so be REALLY aware of any issues.
The game runs great out of the box, there's no need to tinker it unless you want to install mods to localize your game and such.

For some reason if you upscale the game more than 2X the game becomes choppy for some weird reason but as soon as you go back to 2X or 1X the choppiness vanishes.
120 FPS all time, no slowdowns. Runs like melted butter.
