Game does not work out of the box either with steam play or native Linux version.

It runs perfectly for me out of the box.
Mouse look didn't work if I tabbed out and back in until restarting the game.
It opened Uplay.
I got to the Uplay screen where it asks for the activation code. I was not provided with an activation code anywhere, even though there was a DLC that installed that's supposed to come with it, so I couldn't play the game. I tried it with 4 different versions of proton including Proton-5.4-GE-3 https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom/releases
No audio.
Crashed when booting straight into fullscreen.

When the game first boots it makes a loud crackling noise. Other than that I noticed nothing wrong with audio after using the protontricks command from the other post.
Fullscreen crashing the game sometimes was fixed by starting in windowed mode.
The fullscreening issue seems to happen on windows as well.
