According to other people the game will refuse to launch since February, but can be launched with other versions of Wine or Proton, I recommend installing ProtonUp-Qt for cases like these as you can easily set and forget it and keep playing.
After shader processing, it goes into a black screen with nothing happening
Tried most of the launch commands here, no effect for me.
Shader processing is slow, and gets into the first two logos, before getting into a black screen with the game cursor. No idea if it's the same issue AMD GPUs are having, or Intel Arc GPU Linux drivers not being up to par... again oof.
Runs decent besides shaders needing to compile while playing(if you skip that)
When you go from cutscene to game during story mode, it takes a little bit before you can actually load into the fight.
Only issues are shaders compiling during fights if you skip the initial shader compiling, which can mess up gameplay, and loading into fights for the first time.
Besides the stuttering issues and the cursor camera bug on default proton, this game works wonderfully with GE Wine and GE Proton.
Shaders may take some time to load, which has a chance to cause stutter ingame.
I'm still using Bottles to run this game on Battle.net at the moment, but this game runs wonderfully with wine-ge-proton, which includes a fix for the cursor camera bug that happens when you die using KB+M. I recommend using the latest builds of ge-proton for the steam version so that you don't face that annoying glitch in-game.
If you're using a Intel Arc card this game will have buggy graphics and frequent crashing
On first start, the main menu has artifacting textures. At the beginning when Makoto is exploring the city during the Dark Hour, there is bright green lights and his model will either be glitched or pitch black.
When Reflections are turned on, game can crash or insanely slow down.
Crashes when Makoto is about to meet the Little Boy and sign his name. Can also crash at main menu if Reflections was turned on.
According to two other reports at the time I'm writing this, they both had Intel GPUs running the game and experiencing crashing. I'm thinking it has to do with Intel Arc GPUs/Intel graphics and this game not playing nice together with Proton/Wine, Mesa, and Vulkan. So far it was the only recent game that my Intel Arc A770 threw a fit getting to run. If you run AMD or NVIDIA, the game will function just fine. Hopefully this can be fixed overtime once Mesa and Proton has better optimization for Arc cards.

Towns have huge performance issues unless looking down at the ground. Use the launch commands to fix.
Game seems to behave normally with AMD Radeon cards. I get some framedrops in open areas but that's more on my hardware as I'm using the High Preset.
