The game does not run at all without cheats. The PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 is required for the game to even run.

After installing, the game fails to launch with the error Windows version (6.1.7601) not supported.

I tried using wined3d but this did not help. Did not test other flags. The developers seem to be aware of the issue but it's unclear if proton support is a priority or a "wish list" sort of feature.
