works well needs restarted twice once to save luncher settings once to save config of main game.
Works well borked in later proton this game exspects a older PC. GE-Proton8-25 on Oled deck , GE-Proton8-2 on LCD deck. Game wants to defult to DOS in compatabilty tool on deck, regular proton 8 also works but dose not lunch stabily dew to not saveing the DLL properly that is what the restarts are needed for on first lunch as the DLL are being set by the game. If you want to use newer proton you can tinker and set the DLL manuily.
This is actually the first step. More fixes is needed to make the game more stable. But as of now I can't recommend the game yet
There's noticeable lag when opening menu.
The game also freezes after playing for a while. At one time it freeze when opening menu, at another point it freezes when entering battle.
Use GE-Proton8-2, to fix the startup issue, you might need to click play twice at the first startup.
GE-Proton8-2 fix the launch problem
Copied "d3dcompiler_47.dll" to the game install folder
Did some testing based on Nazo's report and found a way which lets us use game and settings menu without having them renamed everytime.
The issue is that the game aswell as the launcher need the file "d3dcompiler_47.dll" which is only available in the launcher folder, with copying that file over to the root folder of the game, the game will work with the standard launch option. As the videos are webm, it'll work fine with standard proton, I have seen no issues so far.
Follow those steps to get it working:
- Open Steam, select the game, right click and "Manage -> Browse local files" (/steamapps/common/ConceptionPlus/)
- Navigate to the folder "launcher" and copy the file "d3dcompiler_47.dll" (/steamapps/common/ConceptionPlus/launcher/)
- Paste the file "d3dcompiler_47.dll" to the main folder (/steamapps/common/ConceptionPlus/)
- Play the game
I tried Nazo's fix method, swapping the file names and locations of ConceptionPlus.exe and ConceptionPlus-Launcher.exe, and was able to open and run the game without problems.
Launcher runs without modification, Game will not Launch. FIX: Set settings with Launcher. Rename GAME exe to Launcher EXE name, and vice versa. Then SWAP each renamed exe files location. Running launcher option in STEAM will then run your game.
Location Game EXE: (ConceptionPlus.exe) /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/ConceptionPlus/
Location Launcher EXE: (ConceptionPlus-Launcher.exe) /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/ConceptionPlus/launcher/
Fails when you try to launch. You can open the config launcher, but doesn't help. Tried both Steam Recommended Proton and Experimental
Game doesn't start
The game immediately terminates itself after attempting to play.
Doesn't work
Launching the config editor brings up a javascript error, trying to launch the game itself does nothing (no window will appear) & the process will terminate itself moments after.
