Used protontricks to enter winecfg changed three settings for initial launch:
- enabled "Emulate a virtual desktop" with 1920x1080 resolution
- disabled "Allow the window manager to decorate the windows"
- disabled "Allow the window manager to control the windows"
These settings might only be required for the first launch, after that it magically works without these settings.
Entertaining side-scrolling shooter with progression, perfect to pick up 'n play on Steam Deck
In settings menu under "Game" the font defaults to "Small" but can be toggled to "Big" to make text a lot easier to read.
Runs in 16:9 aspect ratio regardless of resolution chosen and requires a forced resolution setting. Interface is cramped but increasing the font size in the game options helps a lot.
The game will crash on startup without doing the following:
- In Gaming Mode go to Properties... -> General -> Game Resolution
- Change resolution to 1920x1200
- Check "Set resolution for internal and external display"
Internal resolution will always be the same so trying to force a higher one doesn't do anything and might cause problems.
Enforced 1920x1080 resolution.
Splash screen is scaled incorrectly. Nothing aside from that.
It's a bit sad honestly, that a solution turned out to be something so simple as enforcing 1920x1080 resolution and I guess it's unlikely a config could be made that sets it by default, with Deck's native resolution being just 1280x800 (and crashing without making changes) - this game would otherwise be perfect for Deck.
Instant crash. Still broken after a year.
Black window pops up for an half a second then instantly crashes.
The game instantly crashes to desktop no matter what i do.
Broken, unplayable
Crashes at start
I tried different proton versions but nothing. I'll come back when I found a solution.
Works perfectly with Proton-6.16-GE-1
Game window closes immediately after starting
The following line can be found in the log:
[000000E4:] EXCEPTION handling: System.InvalidOperationException: Cannot call Present when a render target is active.
Just collapse all the Windows immediately after starting the game, and it will start.
Playing together on the same keyboard faced delays and collapse of the game.
Works great, out of box.
Crashes immediately on launch.
Tried standard Proton, older versions, and Proton-GE. All the same.
Worked out of the box for me.
KB Input sometimes did not register, or input got "stuck" on a single state ie. constant fire.
chrashes instantly
Works out of the box. Just be sure to activate the mouse, if you want to play with it. :)
Crackling only came up when using Steam Broadcast so far. Probably has nothing to do with the game itself.
Alt-tabbing locks the mouse in the window.
Game does not start or crashes right after
Runs and is playable, music won't load outside of the main screen, some small visual glitches
Disabled Esync, D3d11 and used Wine D3d11. Didn't start at all.
Won't launch.
The game doesn't start at all
