Controls do not work with steam input
im not sure how this game can be played with a steam controller, apparently on windows its recommended to turn steam input off which isn't an option on the steam deck
Needed to use GE proton, with native Proton the initial credits were looping forever and wouldn't get to the main menu.
Game crashes when changing windows (spefically with gnome overview)
The cutscene of the ending 'Sisters' makes the game unresponsive and crashes
requires proton GE default proton crashes on start up
The game runs and plays well minus occasional crashes and videos/cut-scenes not displaying properly.
Game crashes after a couple hours of play
Ending video ( sisters end ) doesn't play. Instead a 'test video' is displayed.

Proton-6.8-GE-2 GloriousEggroll
Needed to run with Glorious Eggroll version of proton: Proton-6.8-GE-2

Crashes on launch
No part of the game loads - I just hit "Play" and it crashes without any feedback. I've tried several official Proton versions. I'm going to give a custom Proton and other tweaks a shot and report back.
Works out of the box (minus intro animation)
After selecting new game and difficulty, you'll be greeted with black screen. Not to worry, this is when animation is supposed to be playing. Just hit "Esc" and enjoy the game.
Controller works after checking one setting

When using default Proton 5.13.1 there was no animation playback, and I had to use the keyboard to skip the animation, since the gamepad buttons did nothing. During gameplay, in some menus, it did not recognize the cancel button on the gamepad either. None of these problems were perceived with Proton-5.9-GE-8-ST.

Works Out of the Box, minus Controller Support
Xbox One controller mapping was inaccurate and right trigger didn't work.
