Seems to work perfectly out of the box. Started game, connected to a server, stole a motorcycle, got into a brawl with a robber, stole his bat and got downed by the police (for driving without a license). Just playing offline didn't work due to a connection timeout (?), but that seems more like an Early Access bug to me.
