The Windows 10 version of the game does not run for me at all while it works out of the box via proton on Linux.
Keyboard inputs had some delay, but honestly it was probably due to running around 15-20 FPS.
The performance wasn't amazing 15-20 FPS at 1280x720 resolution, but I'll take that over not being able to play the game at all. Perhaps a slightly stronger PC would fare much better, this particular computer I am using is from 2010.
Game would crash immediately until downgrading to Proton 6.x. After some sleuthing around it seems to be failing to load MSVBVM60.dll
(a name I've not heard in a long time, the VB6 runtime).
After downgrading it ran fine, though I did get a couple of critical error popups and had to force kill the process
The game's performance is NOT good. But that's the same on Windows, this game has atrocious optimization.
Fullscreen behaves VERY oddly with multiple monitors, seems to kill the other monitor and not display graphics sometimes. Use windowed mode instead if you run into this.
You have to go into game options and auto scale UI for everything to look fine.
Game will install but will not start
The game crashes on launch with Proton versions newer than 5.0-10, and gives an error about not being launched from Steam on older versions. There seems to be some performance problems with the game, but Windows users are reporting those problems too so I don't think that's being caused by Proton. I was able to beat the first 2 levels without any other issues.
