Some videos still did not play at all, specifically the LGI main Ending, Hill of Sunflowers Ending, and End Sky 2 Ending credits roll.
Aside from the issues with the credit rolls for some chapters everything else about this game works as intended. I also installed the official content patch and the unofficial updated CG & voices patch. After finishing the game, I've also installed the non-steam version of the game to play through the KOHD chapter, which worked without any issues.
Works fine but patches are practically a requirement to play this game as intended (even on windows)
I applied the R18 Patch V2 (MD5: 31194fff06d0e14298ea942bd96df486) and the Voice Patch V2 (MD5: 9267988b81bca22f416e2563b268a717) to the standard steam install.
Worked fine from start to finish.
B to right click (show menu) Y, A, R4, R5, L4, L5 all mapped to Enter (advance text, handy to be able to use different buttons) X mapped to escape key (hide text box) right menu button mapped to space (skip read text) left menu button mapped to F2 (go to save game screen)
Install all fonts through Protontricks, to the wine prefix. (This works on copies added to the Steam Library as non-steam as well)
Font kerning without installed fonts to wine prefix. Do not try to install fonts to your linux system, it will not work.
Everything works great, but only the steam license, I tried the pirated version, but it did not start

The movie at the end of chapter 3 doesn't work until getting LAVFilters by running the following:

Some fonts look badly spaced. To fix, all I had to do was to install the MS Gothic font.
On Ubuntu, it can come from a package called ttf-mscorefonts-installer. On Fedora, I just followed the steps on this website
No need to go down a rabbit hole to play this.

Installed full patch and full voice patch before running for the first time, no problems, did not have to install MS Gothic--maybe Proton-GE bundles that. No crashes in 4 hours of gameplay.

UnknownUnknownIt works fine, but kerning issues (https://i.imgur.com/6woPxCg.png - no spoilers) are preventing me from playing via Steam Play. On the other hand, Steam via wine does not have this issue, so exactly the opposite to the report of other user.
UnknownUnknownTested with the official patch. Works great. Font looks fine, doesn't have the unreadable kerning issues I got last time I tried the game in Wine. Graphical glitch when taking screenshots through Steam, which fixed on restarting the game. Recommend disabling the overlay.
