Getting this to run is not easy but worth the effort. First of all run the game once with Proton and force close the game when you reach the black screen. Then you need to install Wine. Yes I know it sounds strange but install WINE even though we will be using Proton later. Follow the steps here for your distro: https://wiki.winehq.org/Download Then you have to download this: https://github.com/z0z0z/mf-install Unpack MF-Install and run the following command. (The command must be adjusted to fit your actual steam path.) WINEPREFIX="/home/SYSTEM_USERNAME/.steam/steamapps/compatdata/622720/pfx" ./install-mf.sh This will copy the required files. You will receive two prompts from WINE for installing Mono and another thingie I forgot. (Something with displaying HTML content?) Accept both offers to download and install those automatically. When done go to steam and right click Weedcraft Inc. Put this into the launch options, without quotes: "-show-screen-selector" Start the game, select your appropriate screen resolution and set the graphics to good. Trust me, you don't want it any higher and you won't notice a difference anyway. The game will have slowdowns otherwise. That's it. Enjoy your Weedcraft Inc. One side note: The Devs are very unhelpful and don't care for Linux at all so don't expect anything from them.
