Fix with change config file locate at : "var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/607880/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Accel World vs. Sword Art Online/OptionConfig.ini" Three first line, mode = 1 for Fullscreen.
Launcher is laggy, but game work fine.

Works well with GE Proton. No additional tweaks needed.

Some menu text may be harder to read
Runs well with default game settings.
The games luncher Performace realy slow but works
The games luncher works now with custom proton GE, with some performance problems however the game its selfs runs fine so far but for some reason the game is lock at 60 fps even with vsync off.
Rename AWVSSAO.exe to AWVSSAO_launcher.exe to start the game. Launcher doesn't work at all.

Proton-6.16-GE-1 GloriousEggroll
Renombrar AWVSSAO.exe a AWVSSAO_Launcher.exe
no reconoce bien el teclado
Funciona extremadamente lento
Actualmente injugable con Proton.

Does not run because of .Net
The launcher uses .Net. By installing .Net via protontricks, it remains on a black screen, so it is impossible to configure the graphics of the game.

Will not Launch
I tried some of the fixes people posted but it still wouldn't launch. Maybe I'm dumb and just can't follow instructions though.

You have to use custom Proton build. And rename AWVSSAO.exe to AWVSSAO_launcher.exe to even start the game.
5.8-GE-2-MF GloriousEggroll
https://github.com/GloriousEggroll/proton-ge-custom - just downloaded latest release and unpacked according to README
Perhaps it's because I skipped launcher (as that did not want to start), I did not see any graphical settings. Game started windowed in full hd on my 2k screen.
Few frame drops here and there, nothing major
Has to bypass dotnet launcher -- need to find config files for settings
Dotnet Launcher does not work, Need to rename the games AWVSSAO.exe to AWVSSAO_Launcher.exe and rename to launcher to AWVSSAO_Launcher.old Also game does not launch using native proton. Black screen opens and closes. Downloading and using Proton-5.2-GE-2 solves the issue and allows the game to launch.
Instructions to setup custom Proton versions:
it installs but does not launch.

Requires DotNet, but dotnet doesnt fully support 64-bit Wine bottles which is used by default by proton. I might attempt to install in a 32-bit prefix in Lutris.

Most likely the same as the previous report. .Net issue.

Launcher uses .NET
