I had the same inital issue as others, the game froze. This was due to the Borderless screen settings. Select Windowed instead.
Must Select 'Windowed' (or at least you can't Select 'Borderless') on the initial launch screen.
Must not Select Borderless
Highly reecommended. once fixed, worked as on Windows.

Entire desktop freezes on game launch
I have been able to play older versions of this game for many hours. Came back now and desktop freezes on game launch. I see the splash screen, and the music is still playing for 1-2 minutes. Cursor moves but then also freezes after some time. The entire system seems frozen. Need to press the big button to shut down the PC.

Runs fine for an early access game with some minor hickups on my system.
When switching between virtuel desktops it caused the game to completely lock up after the last updates (borderless fullscreen was introduced). Playing in windowed mode helps to stop it from happening.
When switching virtuel desktops the mouse can get "lost". Pressing middle mouse button or Alt in my case fixes that and the mouse is back.
Behaves a little odd with i3 when in Mashinky's fullscreen mode
Shadows do not work correctly. There is a shadow centred on the camera when zoomed in, and first person mode causes flickering ghost shadows in the distance. Turning shadows off fixes it.
I encountered one crash out of nowhere, but it might just be an issue with the game, rather than proton, as it is early access.

Works well, switching out of fullscreen actually behaves better than on Windows in my experience.
I've had the game crash in Windows as well, so they may not be Proton-specific crashes.
Works fine out of the box
Läuft OOTB!

missing vagons graphics
sometimes slugish
After prolonged gameplay, some SFX are audible too loud, but it may be caused by the game still being in Alpha.
After latest proton updates there are no graphics bugs in build mode
apart from the minor artifacts in build mode the game runs fine!
Games works as expect with some artifact for the ground texture in build mode.
In build mode, there's artifacts on the ground texture, doesn't affect gameplay. 3D mode runs fine.
Mouse movement is strange, especially when using middle click and right click to move the camera: it is sometime really fast and snap to a position/direction or very slow. Using control to move the camera was fine.

Still has terrain texture bug in build mode. Also since last game update(Trucks) I experience random sudden acceleration while using mouse to rotate camera.

Same glitches in build mode as in most other reports. Apart from that it is super playable though. No tweaks needed.

Also have the graphical issues mentioned earlier when having the build modus active. Besides that experienced graphical glitches at the bottom part and right side of the screen (blinking black squares). The latter I got rid off by disabling ambient occlusion. I didn't find a solution this far for the glitches during the build phase.

Crashed after about 20 minutes. Alt-tab didn't really worked. Otherwise looked correct.

First bare test brought a crash, so I tried 'PROTON_USE_WINED3D11=1 PROTON_NO_ESYNC=2 %command%' in starting options. Game starts and runs without a problem. Graphical details may be little less than in Windows, but that's a AMD driver issue.

Game launcher open, after clicking "play" it crash immediately.

Same Terrain glitches as in previous Proton Versions

Small graphic glitches in Build Mode: Hills look weird.

No glitches detected

It runs pretty well, but it have some problems with textures on the ground in building mode.
