Not using GE-Proton8-32 will lead to pre-rendered cutscenes having showstopper issues (e.g. non-progressable black screens, "TV color test" screens, etc). More recent versions technically work in this regard, but have even more noticeable performance degredations.
8bitdo controller: DISABLING Steam Input was required. Works fine after, though no rumble support because of that.
30-40% FPS drops in my case. GE-Proton8-32 + the "Atelier Sync Fix" ( https://github.com/doitsujin/atelier-sync-fix ) combination worked very well in my tests and brought performance to the expected levels.
Game requires Win7 compatibility but the pop-up indicating as such won't actually work and must be changed through Protontricks:
protontricks --no-bwrap 595740 win7

This game has two little problems on steamOS with Proton so far, but still can run well. Most of the time can be stable when keep fps at 30.
Made 30 fps fixed
- When start the game, there is a pop-up window asking if you want to make it compatible with win7 system. Please select NO.
- The opening movie can't be displayed. Just skip it.
Can play this game on steam deck. I really love it!
