I used Proton GE 9-11 for the compatability tool.
Fullscreen looks like if it runs at a lower resolution than 1080p.
In the game's intro, after Mayuri Kohsaka introduces herself, the game hangs on a white screen. This can be worked around by disabling movie playback in the game's settings. Loading saves created after this point works.
Additionally, when using GNOME's trackpad gestures, the game crashes. The equivalent touchscreen gestures and keyboard shortcuts work as expected.

The intro video is playable by installing gstreamer bad plugins. English version is perfectly playable.
HOWEVER Chinese version won't launch at all, hangs on startup as a black window with high CPU usage.
Having Video Playback enabled freezes the game in a white screen, disable from the menu.
The opening video doesn't play and ends up crashing the game. To avoid the crash disable video playback in the game's config.
I'm here to update my previous report. Font issues can be fixed by installing a font called "Overlock Mod" by Dario Muhafara. The video crash is not game-breaking can be avoided by disabling video playback altogether in the game's config menu. The only video in the game is the opening and it can be found on YouTube.
The font is wrong and the video playback doesn't work. The game can be played, but it's not the best experience.
The font is wrong. I see an ugly Monospace font instead of the game's font.
Gstreamer video playback is broken. The game crashes with a white screen whenever it needs to play a video. You can bypass this by disabling video playback altogether in the game's settings menu.

The only reason this isn't platinum for are basically 2 things: The font isn't rendered properly as it is wine, where the font is working correctly. The font looks best on Proton 3.7.8 which is the reason I submitted this report with 3.7.8. The font looks best on 3.7.8 out of the box though it isn't as good as in wine. The Game will run fine using anything 3.14+ but the font will look horrible (Monospace font) for later versions of proton fonts need to be fixed I didn't test that though.
I would recommend using either wine (best fonts) or Proton 3.7.8 (good fonts)
The other problem is that the game will lock up in a white screen and wont go fuhrter. To this go in the games config (ingame in the main menu) and disable movie playback. Other than that the game runs really fine.

Install and launch work fine. Though be said the game has a "Anti-Piracy-Measure" which is triggered when using proton (even though I legally own a version of the game). Its easy to circumvent it though. After the intro the game will hang in an white screen. You can "fix" it if you can get a save right after the intro and load that save. After that the game runs perfectly. So overall Gold for me since you will still need a save to come through the intro scene.
