Provided you don't care much for thumbstick turning, game runs flawless.
There is a known problem on Valve Index and HTC Vive where it doesn't do thumbstick turning. This is the same on Linux and Windows. Last message from developer about this is in 2019. The game is completely playable but you might need to keep turning around physically.
Bust...
I can install the game using Steam Beta, but no Proton selection allows the game to begin launching.
Perhaps not /that/ much of a loss. If the game wasn't part of a "free" (included in laptop purchase) "bundle", I'd feel a bit ripped off. This game has a decent concept, but it's poorly executed and quite boring.
It runs well enough to be a pleasant experience. The audio and visual effects plays as expected.
Performance should be better, but it's playable.
Sounds is scratchy and crackly. Game minimises itself during bootup when the "heartrate monitor" parks itself in your system tray unannounced. During play the mouse sensitivity keeps switching to 10000x without warning, forcing the player to quit and restart. When interacting with devices in-game, the mouse can't be moved, making the game unplayable as you can't select any options to advance the story. Plus when quitting, the game doesn't cleanly close it's processes requiring the user to manually kill all the phantom processes still running, otherwise Steam thinks the game is still being played.
